Use Kreeder to Speed Read any Content

I get a lot of feedback from Kreeder users. One of the most requested features is to allow Kreeder to also read PDF files or other Ebook files.

As many of you may or may not know, Kindle has a document storage option and allows you to upload documents to your kindle (http://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle/email). With a few easy steps, you can be reading all of your documents with Kreeder.

Kreeder isn't a panacea for everything - it was designed with the specific intention of allowing you to speed read documents in the kindle cloud reader. There are other speed reading plugins out there that will handle reading web content.

Step 1) Upload your content to your kindle account
Step 2) Go to Read.Kindle.Com
Step 3) Open the document in the Kindle Cloud Reader
Step 4) Open the Kreeder menu and start speed reading your content

To use.

1. Install extension from Chrome Extension Store (link above or search for Kreeder)
2. Go to read.amazon.com
3. Click the Kreeder Icon and click open Kreeder (Alternatively press CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE) to open the reader window
4. Enjoy

KNOWN ISSUES:

1. Pressing CTRL-SHIFT-SPACE repeatedly opens multiple Kreeder windows.
2. Some issues with text extraction with special characters and non-latin characters (have not tested on non-English books)
3. Books with lots of images, or books with multiple layouts (e.g. Any of the Dummies books with lots of callouts), will end up with text appearing in non-sequential order. Kreeder works best with plain text books (e.g. are the words only on the pages without any special blocks or formatting).
4. Tested on Linux and Windows and Mac
5. Windows 10 issue (not just Kreeder) where popup windows are wonky. The reader itself is fine, clicking on the icon gives you a headache.
